Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Purpose and Applicability

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs all payments made towards services offered by Evalyst IAS, including but not limited to AI-based and human-assisted UPSC answer evaluation, test series, and related academic services.

By accessing, purchasing, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.

2. Single Evaluation Services (Pay-Per-Use)

2.1 Conditions for Refund Consideration

Refunds for individual evaluation services may be considered only in limited and verifiable circumstances, including:

  • Technical Disruption: Where a confirmed system error prevents generation or delivery of the evaluation report after successful payment.
  • Critical Service Defect: Where the delivered evaluation is materially incomplete, corrupted, or fails to meaningfully process the submitted answer script.

All such claims shall be subject to internal verification and technical review. The final decision regarding eligibility shall rest solely with Evalyst IAS.

2.2 Situations Not Eligible for Refund

Refunds will not be entertained in cases such as:

  • Successful delivery of evaluation report
  • Dissatisfaction with marks, feedback, or scoring interpretation
  • User errors including poor-quality or incorrect uploads
  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Differences in subjective evaluation expectations

3. Subscription-Based Services (Monthly / Quarterly / Annual)

3.1 Cancellation Policy

Users may cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings or by contacting support.

  • Access will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle
  • No further renewals will be charged after cancellation

3.2 Refund Policy for Subscriptions

All subscription payments are final and non-refundable, including:

  • Partially used subscription periods
  • Unused features or services
  • Mid-cycle cancellations after payment processing

Once a billing cycle is initiated, the payment is deemed fully earned and non-reversible.

4. Promotional Credits and Discounted Offers

  • Any free credits issued as part of onboarding, referrals, or promotions carry no monetary value and cannot be redeemed or refunded.
  • Services purchased using discount coupons or promotional pricing remain subject to this Policy, and no refund shall apply to discounted components.

5. Limited-Time or Special Access Programs

Evalyst IAS may introduce special access initiatives (such as exam-based free access, scholarships, or promotional evaluation windows).

  • Such programs are offered at no cost unless explicitly stated otherwise
  • Since no monetary consideration is involved, refund provisions do not apply
  • Access under such programs may be suspended or revoked in cases of misuse, fraud, or violation of platform rules or Terms & Conditions

6. Refund Review Procedure

If you believe your case qualifies under Section 2, you may request a refund review as follows:

Acknowledgment: 5–7 working days

Processing: Original payment method

Required Information:

  • Registered email ID / phone number
  • Transaction ID and payment date
  • Clear explanation of the issue
  • Supporting evidence (if applicable, such as screenshots or error logs)

7. Decision Authority

Evalyst IAS reserves full authority to:

  • Accept or reject refund requests after internal assessment
  • Determine eligibility based on technical validation and policy interpretation
  • Update or refine eligibility criteria without prior notice

All decisions made by Evalyst IAS in this regard shall be final and binding.

8. Policy Updates

Evalyst IAS may revise, amend, or update this Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or service-related changes. Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
